Qualification Summary
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-7 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience reviewing construction schedules, comparing contractor’s claimed progress and daily activities to actual site conditions; and preparing and submitting progress reports of work activities. OR, 2 years of study that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as drafting, surveying, mathematics, physical science, industrial technology, industrial arts, or technical subjects pertinent to construction; or engineering technician work such aselectricity, material testing, or engineering mechanics. OR, a combination of graduate level education and specialized experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. GS-8 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience reviewing construction schedules, comparing contractor’s claimed progress and daily activities to actual site conditions; preparing and submitting progress reports of work activities and interpreting contract plans and specifications. OR, one and a half years (27 semester hours) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree such as engineering, construction, or industrial technology. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR, a combination of graduate level education and specialized experience as described above. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. GS-9 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience reviewing construction schedules, comparing contractor’s claimed progress and daily activities to actual site conditions; preparing and submitting progress reports of work activities; interpreting contract plans and specifications; preparing project reports; and tracking construction progress and payments. OR, 2 full years of graduate level education in a field of study directly related to the work of this position. OR, a combination of graduate level education and specialized experience as described above. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
