You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) FOOD SERVICE WORKER ~ without more than normal supervision. Performing common tasks such as assembling supplies and/or products in accordance with established procedures and following instructions to set up equipment properly. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The position Without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Work Practices Physical Effort: Work involves light and heavy physical effort such as frequently lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, such as food, food supplies, garbage/trash, and occasionally the weights may exceed that amount. Work involves constant walking, standing, and frequent stooping and bending. Working Conditions: Work areas are often uncomfortably warm and noisy, e.g., noisy kitchen and dishwashing areas. Worker is exposed to the danger of minor cuts, bruises, and burns from equipment. There is danger of slipping on floors, which are wet from daily mopping or where food or beverages have been spilled. Worker is exposed to steam hot water, and extreme hot/cold temperatures.
