Qualification Summary
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 LEVEL: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience using software that processes and files federal tax liens for state and local jurisdictions [e.g., Automated Lien System (ALS), Integrated Collection System (ICS)] to identify and resolve processing and data discrepancies; Experience processing liens and identifying filing methods to assist staff [e.g., ACS, CLO, Field collection]; Research and identify lien processing discrepancies to determine corrective actions; Analyze reports and identify inconsistencies to recommend improvements and/or corrective actions; Experience communicating verbally and in writing to all audience levels to share technical and procedural information. OR EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A Master’s or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work; OR LLB or JD, if related. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. AND MEET TIME IN GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT: For positions above the GS-05, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the grade you are applying for. AND TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: By the closing date (or if this is an open continuous announcement, by the cut-off date) specified in this job announcement, current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment.
