Qualification Summary
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below: To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as using analytical and evaluative techniques to assess performance of programs; presenting findings and recommendations to managers and other senior staff; communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on program topics; and preparing and/or delivering presentations, reports, project papers, and/or oral briefings to internal and external groups. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the Agency’s key program events, milestones, and objectives. Skill in negotiating with management and stakeholders for implementation of recommendations and modifications to policy and procedures. Skill in oral communication. Skill in written communication. Skill in planning, organizing, and directing team study work. Ability to coordinate planning for project deliverables and to set goals and objectives. Knowledge of data collection, analytical, and evaluative methods of administration and enforcement programs. Knowledge of results-based management to identify clear, measurable results of outputs, outcomes, and impact. Ability to execute performance evaluations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
