Qualification Summary
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions. Specialized Experience: Although five years of specialized experience is preferred, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience applying contracting principles and procedures to the planning, award and management of contracting actions for a wide range of services and supplies. Certification: The incumbent of this position will need to have a Federal Acquisition Certification-Contracting (FAC-C) Level III, Department of Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification Level III or or DAWIA Contracting Professional Certification. Applicants not certified may still apply and be selected but must achieve certification within 24 months of appointment. Highly desired qualifications: FAC-C Core-plus specialization in Digital Services/Digital IT Acquisition Professional Training Program; or Experience procuring digital services, conducting modular contracting, major systems acquisitions, or contracting that supports agile or iterative development or; experience incorporating TechFAR Handbook guidance in procurement.
