Qualification Summary
Qualification Requirements: Incumbent requires knowledge of intensive psychosocial services and a wide range of skills (casework, group work, individual and family therapy). Incumbent must meet all the following qualifications: State licensure or state certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner. When state licensing or certification includes written examination, candidate must have achieved a passing score on that examination. Possess Master’s Degree in one of the clinical fields; Marriage and Family therapy, Social Work, or Psychology from an accredited program. Must have engaged in 2 years (2000 hours) full-time post-masters supervised clinical experience. Knowledge of military lifestyle demands, ability to present sensitive, at times controversial information to groups of people in clear and concise manner. Incumbent must be able to modify programs to meet needs of the active duty military community. Candidate will have the ability to recognize, identify and assess mental disorders per the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. Knowledge of dynamic and diagnostic skills necessary for family violence identification, risk assessment, and safety planning. Must be able to communicate in writing to develop and prepare case management memos, correspondence, and reports; to document psycho-social assessments, treatment plans, and case review committee reports and develop lesson plans for briefing and classroom presentations. Computer use with experience using multiple software programs.
