Qualification Summary
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military grade in the Alabama Army National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Alabama Army National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Maximum Military Rank: SFC Other Requirements: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Each applicant must fully substantiate (in his/her own words) that he/she meets the requirements of the Specialized Experience listed below: Otherwise, the applicant will be considered unqualified for this position. DO NOT COPY THE VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT OR THE POSITION DESCRIPTION. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 9 months experience or training pumping gasoline, oil, jet fuel, or other similar products, handling lines and hoses at dock operations, and measuring fuels as they are received, stored, transferred, or loaded into equipment. Experience operating one or more relatively routine work stations and demonstrating skill in manipulating a few controls to regulate the flow of the liquids in a safe and efficient manner.
