Qualification Summary
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must (1) meet the Education Requirement for the series, (2) provide a copy of transcripts for verification, AND (3) meet either the education or experience qualifications. To qualify for the GS-15, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include: Leading the strategic planning, review of proposals, implementation, execution, and delivery of outputs/technical reports for a real-world motor vehicle crash and injury data collection program. Leading multi-disciplined teams in reviewing, analyzing, publishing, and presenting findings related to injury outcomes, mechanisms and causation associated with real-world motor vehicle crashes. Developing, implementing, and managing complex biomechanics research projects that aim to address motor vehicle crash safety concerns and related fields. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Demonstrated ability to develop and lead complex field data programs where primary objectives include collection, expert engineering and medical review, and publication of real-world injury cases associated with motor vehicle crashes. Demonstrated expert knowledge and work experience in injury biomechanics research. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing the results of complex data analysis and research studies and represent organization in technical meetings and conferences with public/stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to plan for, manage and provide leadership over technical research projects and multidisciplinary teams. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
