Qualification Summary
Only experience and education obtained by 11/14/2022 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification [GS-6] One year of specialized experience which is equivalent to work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-05). Specialized experience would include 1) Working with Realty Specialists or other legal professionals to review legal instruments; 2) Preparing vouchers for land acquisitions; 3) Drafting real estate-related correspondence for review by supervisor; 4) Preparing deeds and other related documents for review; 5) Assisting in identifying documents constituting a real estate case file; 6) Creating and maintaining digital and paper folders and records; 7) Organizing case files; 8) Searching and assembling information, as requested, from files and documents; 9) Receiving calls and visitors; 10) Inputting information into an electronic database; 11) Operating a personal computer system using various software programs to monitor real estate appraisal documents to include grammatical and mathematical correctness and the completion of all document requirements; 12) Developing and maintaining effective relationships with others to complete daily tasks. Minimum Qualification [GS-7] One full year of specialized experience equivalent at least the GS-6 grade level in Federal service (or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) working with Realty Specialists or other legal professionals to develop and review legal instruments; 2) preparing vouchers for land acquisitions; 3) drafting real estate-related correspondence; 4) preparing and reviewing deeds and other related documents; 5) generating realty documents from templates; 6) researching, assembling, and summarizing information, as required, from files and documents; 7) identifying documents constituting a real estate case file; 8) identifying which supporting documents are needed; 9) creating and maintaining organized digital and paper working folders and records; 10) Searching, locating, and organizing documents in a presentable manner; 11) Compiling reports to update management, as requested; 12) developing and maintaining effective relationships with others to complete daily tasks; 13) operating a personal computer system using various software programs to monitor real estate appraisal documents to include grammatical and mathematical correctness and the completion of all document requirements. 14) creating and updating payment related spreadsheets; 15) receiving calls and visitors; 16) handling incoming and outgoing mail. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically, i. Area of Consideration. ii. Time-in-grade (TIG) requirements as specified in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. iii. Time after competitive appointment as specified in 5 CFR 330.502. iv. Qualification requirements outlined in OPM’s Qualifications Standards for General Schedule Positions or for Federal Wage System (FWS), wage grade positions, applicants are evaluated using the OPM Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations and the job element examining method.
