Qualification Summary
Military Grades: E-3 THROUGH WO1 Compatible Military Assignments: 25B MOS. IF SELECTED, CURRENT PERMANENT TECHNICIAN’S TENURE WILL TRANSFER WITH MEMBER TO THIS POSITION. THIS POSITION IS BACKFILLING A TECHNICIAN WHO IS DEPLOYING. FOR CURRENT FEDERAL TECHNICIANS ASSIGNED TO THE IDAHO NATIONAL GUARD THIS WOULD BE A TEMPORARY PROMOTION OR REASSIGNMENT AND CURRENT TENURE WOULD TRANSFER WITH EMPLOYEE. UPON MEMBER RETURNING FROM DEPLOYMENT, THE TEMPORARILY PROMOTED OR TEMPORARILY REASSIGNED EMPLOYEE WOULD RETURN TO PREVIOUS POSITION. THIS COULD BECOME A PERMANENT PROMOTION OR REASSIGNMENT IF POSITION BECOMES AVAILABLE. FOR A NEWLY HIRED TECHNICIAN, THIS POSITION IS INDEFINITE AND WILL END UPON DEPLOYING MEMBERS RETURN. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: This series covers two-grade interval administers that manage, supervise, lead, administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT) systems and services. This series covers only those positions for which the paramount requirement is knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; e.g., data storage, software applications, networking. Experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment. Experience scheduling the sequence of programs to be processed by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to production efficiency.
