Top 20 Punjabi Songs – October 26, 2022

Today’s second post is Top 20 Punjabi Songs – October 26, 2022. This article is a listicle of the topmost 20 popular Punjabi songs liked by fans this week. There are no changes in the song sequence this week. I have mentioned previous and current positions beside the songs in the list.

Let’s talk about the song, Numb… by Khan Bhaini, for today. The main protagonist, the singer, is in deep sorrow because a girl had ditched him. The music sounds sad and the visuals depict winter and the mountains’ barren environment. Though the presence of drums playing in the background makes the composition modern, the emotions expressed are very much human and traditional.

I am reminded of the song, Dilke jharokhe mein tujhko bithakar… from Brahmachari (1968), with music by Shankar-Jaikishan. It was also a sad song with a lot of violins playing in the background. The speed and rhythm of the music in both the songs give a false impression of happiness. I admit, Numb… by Khan Bhaini is different. Kudos to the makers.
