Adiye… by Kapil Kapilan from the Tamil movie, Bachelor (2021), depicts the drifting apart of a live-in couple. Call me prude. But I can’t understand the whole concept of a live-in relationship. If a person gets bored with what I call one ‘friend with benefits’, the person moves on to the other. I call that a conveyor belt system. A person can’t stick to one beloved. And they call this love. They cannot throw more muck at the sacred word ‘love’ than what they are currently doing. Love is NOT just SEX. If at all we needed to name this something, the right word would be LUST and it’s absolutely disgusting.
