Qualification Summary
GS-13: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing an extensive knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, methods, and techniques to independently assess, recommend, and implement safe working procedures. I have experience establishing policy for the implementation of Risk Management throughout the command. I also have experience reviewing the progress of safety requirements and procedures implementation, and evaluating results for compliance with objectives. Examples of specialzied experience include: 1) Analyzing, evaluating and improving the Command Safety Programs including, but not limited to, accident prevention, planning, and safety education and promotion; 2) Scheduling and leading periodic meetings with CDSOs (Collateral Duty Safety Officers) to promote collaboration and information sharing among each command; 3) Conducting research and development of safety requirements and procedures in accordance with regulations and policy guidance; and 4) Inspecting all aspects of occupational safety and health programs.
