Qualification Summary
Specialized Experience:
GS-13: Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: Determining organization objectives to develop legislative strategies to advance organization and/or program objectives; Analyzing the legislative process and proceedings (i.e. congressional agendas, meetings, committees/subcommittees, votes and actions) to advise staff, leadership and stakeholders; and Collaborating with leadership, members of the White House staff, congressional staff, various Federal Government departments, and state and local government representatives to provide information, guidance or issue resolution. NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
