Qualification Summary
TO QUALIFY FOR NT-3: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-2 pay band (GS-5 through GS-8 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying basic techniques of security administration to assist higher-graded security specialists with maintaining compliance with security program requirements. Examples of qualifying experience may include (1) reviewing requests for personnel or facility security clearances to assure that all required information is provided; (2) reviewing reports of personnel investigations to identify the presence or absence of derogatory information; (3) assisting experienced specialists in conducting onsite physical or industrial security inspections or assistance visits; (4) reviewing requests for information security guidance or assistance. TO QUALIFY FOR NT-2: Your resume must demonstrate at least three (3) years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to the NT-1 pay band (GS-1 through GS-4 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to (1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; (2) plan and organize work; and (3) communicate effectively orally and in writing.
