Qualification Summary
NOTE: This position will have an initial cut-off for referral 2 weeks from date announcement opens; applicants who apply on or before the cut-off date of 17 Jun 2022 will be considered first. Applications will be reviewed and referred for selection as vacancies occur within the organization. **All deployment tours are limited to a maximum length of 2 years total unless Mission changes require an extension; approval is required.** *If you are current Army employee, this will be temporary reassignment, promotion or change to lower grade. *If you are Army employee who does NOT have current competitive status, return placement to your permanent position cannot be guaranteed upon the end of your deployment tour. USACE will not be responsible for placement once your deployment tour ends. Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. You will be asked to identify which category or categories you meet, and to provide documents which prove you meet the category or categories you selected. Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience Required: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience managing and monitoring civil and/or military construction projects in various overseas locations; interpreting plans and specifications; inspecting materials and workmanship; assuring adherence to safety practices; and observing and investigating all construction phases to insure compliance with contract schedules, specifications and shop drawings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Building and ConstructionConstruction/Architect & Engineering (A&E)Oral CommunicationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
