Bollywood’s music composer, lyricist and singer, Rahul B Seth, still can’t get over the utter shock and suddenness of the hugely talented singer KK’s sad demise. He had worked with KK on various ad jingles, corporate anthems and movie songs as a lyricist and music composer.

Sharing fond memories of his association with KK, Rahul reminisces, “Apart from being an exceptionally gifted singer, KK was a fabulous human being having an extremely charming and magnetic personality with an incredible zest and passion for his craft and for life itself. We both shared an awesome creative rapport, as we clicked and resonated with similar values and creative mindsets.”

His unassuming, non-assertive demeanor itself spoke volumes about his immense confidence in his dynamic vocal abilities, which he proved time and again with every song of his. This had impressed Rahul B Seth, time and again.

He adds, “What we both bonded most upon was the quirky humor and one-liners I always came up with, which would leave him in splits, in-between takes, there were times when we both laughed our guts out at the jokes we cracked. There was a tremendous mutual respect and admiration we both had for each other, which was also part of our friendship.”

Rahul B Seth recalls, “In fact, ironically, just a few days before the tragic news of his passing, I was in South India for meetings regarding some new projects and had mentally zeroed in on making KK a part of them and just couldn’t wait to get in touch with him regarding the same. So, you can well imagine the shock and the numbness I felt upon hearing the tragic news. It’s something I still can’t and will probably never get over. That’s the reason why, when I was in a music studio where KK had sung quite a few songs, including songs by me, I recorded an impromptu, heartfelt tribute to my friend with a golden voice and an Angelic heart. May you rest in peace dear buddy. You are and shall always be with us through your inimitable singing and your timeless songs.”
