Bollywoody Bicycle

Today’s first post is Bollywoody Bicycle. Post the invention of the wheel by an unknown person, transport became easy; what with the construction of bullock carts, chariots, etc. This was in the neolithic age. But when a blacksmith, Kirkpatrick Macmillan fitted cranks (wheel-like structures) operated by pedals to a hobby horse; History (early 19th century) was charted, with the creation of the first bicycle. Bollywood has been fascinated by the bicycle since almost the 1940s, as far as my research reveals; the earliest song being Sawanke nazare hain… from Khajanchi (1941). I have selected just some of my favorite bicycle songs from Bollywood movies, for this post. I hope you like them.
