Nasir Hussain-Majrooh Sultanpuri Nexus

Today’s fourth post is Nasir Hussain-Majrooh Sultanpuri Nexus. Nasir Hussain-Majrooh Sultanpuri Nexus is one of the most successful and popular collaborations in the History of Bollywood. The moviemaker-lyricist pair of Nasir Hussain and Majrooh Sultanpuri began with Paying Guest (1957), for which Nasir Hussain had written the story. When Nasir Hussain became a director and then a producer, they began to collaborate in quite a few movies. All these movies were successful musicals and have had some of the lyricist’s best-known works. I love most of the movies rising out of this collaboration and have chosen some of my favorite Bollywood songs coming out of this nexus. I hope you like them.
