Qualification Summary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in outdoor recreation or related field of study; OR four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in developing, managing and maintaining an outdoor recreation program to include (2) years of supervisory experience in related field; OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above. Must be able to obtain the following certifications within nighty (90) days of hire: First Aid, CPR, AED, Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace, and Open Water Rescue.National and state background checks are required for positions that involve working with youths. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Knowledge of outdoor recreation programs, to include but not limited to fishing, kayaking, rafting, hunting, camping, boating, off-road vehicles, water sports, rock climbing, and wilderness survival.
