Today’s first post is Woman’s Day Special – Rakhi. Continuing with the series on iconic female Bollywood artists, we go to the legendary Rakhi. Born Rakhi Majumdar on August 15, 1947, she debuted in Jeevan Mrityu (1970), in which she worked post her first Bengali movie Bodhu Boron (1967). She’s been around for 40 years in the film world and has won several accolades like one National Film Award and 3 Filmfare Awards, besides others. Rakhi is considered the second most-nominated female actor after Madhuri Dixit and Rani Mukherji. I have chosen some of my favorite Bollywood songs featuring Rakhi. I hope you like them.
