Candidates must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility that is appropriate to the position. Experience that demonstrates an extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation, and electronics systems. Generally, experience at the next lower level Pay Band H/level III or FG/GS-12 or equivalent, meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the demonstrated abilities identified below.Specialized experience may include, but is not limited to: Demonstrated experience and ability in installation, including configuration/reconfiguration, programing/tuning, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of the following electronic equipment and systems, including ASR-11, ASOS, ATIS, FDIO, ITWS, STARS, VSBP, RBPM (MSSR), RDVS, IDAT, EFSTS, RRCS, RCE, PET-2000, TDLS and associated connections and interconnections.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.As a part of the Federal-Wide Hiring Reform Initiative (streamlining the hiring process), the FAA is committed to eliminating the use of the Knowledge, Skills and Ability (KSA) narratives from the initial application in the hiring process for all announcements.
