Qualification Summary
All qualification and time-in-grade (if applicable) requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp. Specialized Experience: For the GS-09 level: Applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing senior executive advisories to senior staff on management and administrative policies that support the accomplishment of the mission; conduct, plan and organize large scale conferences or training events; query database and generate reports; assists with building briefings, present information and gain consensus; maintaining senior executive’s personnel calendars and scheduling appointments; making travel arrangements; reviewing correspondence, reports or briefings for completeness, correctness, consistency, and grammatical accuracy, and proper coordination; screening telephone calls and visitors, and responding to requests for information; proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Travel Systems, Correspondence and Task Management System; and the Conference Tool Information Management System. For the GS-11 level: Applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
