Qualification Summary
Military Grades: E5 through E9, WO1 through CW2, or O1 through O3 Compatible Military Assignments: Immaterial * Must be willing and able to cross train into the compatible MOS. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more classes of equipment. The experience must include knowledge of standard shop terminology. A basic knowledge of mechanical principles relating to equipment. Experience must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical publications. Knowledge is of the type gained from technical training, education, and experience in functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training which provided knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience developing, installing, inspecting or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: COVID-19 VACCINATION:
IAW the Secretary of Defense Memo Dated 24 August 2021 the agency will continue to vaccinate all personnel with the COVID-19 vaccine to protect the force and preserve readiness with a goal of reaching 100% vaccination regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law. If selected, you will be required to comply with applicable military (Uniformed) COVID-19 vaccine guidance and exemption process. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work is primarily sedentary, but may require some walking in offices or maintenance areas. There may be some carrying of light items or minor operation of test equipment. Work does not require any special physical effort or ability. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed in an office setting that is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. However, there may be some occasional exposure to uncomfortable conditions in maintenance facilities.
