Current Army Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) EmployeeCurrent Department of Army Civilian EmployeesPriority Placement Program, DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) Eligible Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. GS-09: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) providing assistance with planning special events; 2) monitoring the use and disbursement of funds; 3) utilizing software applications such as Microsoft Office to prepare itineraries for events. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-07) or equivalent pay band. OR
Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration/Management.
OR
Combination of education and experience. GS-11: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) planning special events for distinguished visitors; 2) utilizing software applications such as Microsoft Office prepare documents for approval/signature; 3) establishing lodging arrangements and transportation services for visitors/attendees; 4) assisting with cost data analysis for projected budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09) or equivalent pay band. OR
Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration/Management.

Combination of education and experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Administration and ManagementCustomer ServiceTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07 for GS-09 and GS-09 for GS-11).
