Qualification Summary
To qualify for the position of Human Resources Specialist (Classification), GS-0201-13 you must meet the following requirements by 01/10/2022 the closing date of this announcement: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level or pay band in Federal service that includes performing position classification work that involves position analysis and evaluation; exercising delegated classification authority to develop and evaluate/certify position responsibilities for all position actions; applying a comprehensive understanding of classification principles and concepts; acting on a variety of classification considerations including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); and providing advice and assistance with classification appeal procedures, and assures that appeal packages comply with OPM requirements. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the “required documents” section for additional information). You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including Time-in-Grade, by the closing date of this announcement,01/10/2022

1. As required by Executive Order 14043, Federal employees are required to be FULLY vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law. If selected, you will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit documentation of proof of vaccination BEFORE onboarding with the agency. The agency will provide additional information regarding what information or documentation will be needed and how you can request of the agency a legally required exception from this requirement. 2. Due to COVID-19, the agency is currently in an expanded telework posture. If selected, you may be expected to temporarily telework, even if your home is located outside the local commuting area. Once employees are permitted to return to the office, you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within 120 days. At that time, you may be eligible to request to continue to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy. Due to COVID-19, if selected, you may be expected to telework for an undefined period under the Department’s evacuation authority, even if your home is located outside the local commuting area. Employees in this status may be notified of a requirement to report in person to the component workplace with an advance notice of not less than 30 days. Prior to a requirement to report to the workplace, employees may be eligible to request to continue to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the component’s telework policy.
