To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/14/2021. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to Experience: I possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-06 level in the federal service, that equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position and that is typically in and/or related to the position being filled. Specialized experience includes provides Program Manager with objective information for making decisions pertaining to business and administrative performance measures. Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of multiple programs operations in Mental Health. Knowledge with the consult management process and encounter completion to ensure clinical psychologists and others direct care provider follow business rules. Applies administrative and technical procedures, methods and techniques in collection, compilation and/or tracking of date and statistical information in support of Mental Health. Track finances, ordering and reconciliation of recurring supplies and testing material for all Psychology Service Staff. Will work with MH Service POC for MSS and HR Specialist from the initial to completion of new or Vice positions. Coordinate the strategic planning and application of IT resources. Performs duties associated with occupational health, fire safety and environmental of care. Work with varied computer software programs used in the general MH service, CPRS, VISTA, RVU database, Worksheets, consult tracking, open encounters, VA file man, Microsoft Office. Generally works in independent fashion with instructions or guidance only for new, difficult, or complex assignments. Incumbent will carry his/herself in the out most professional matter as a member of the MHP. Under the direction of the DBT Program Manager, the incumbent assists in the planning and tracking of all Performance Measures for DBT Program and the Psychology Service. Assesses programs for continuity and consistency and develops better programs and ensures policy is followed to maintain and improve health care delivery systems. Oversees the administrative phases for the DBT program and follow-ups with outside ancillary personnel to assure proper procedures are being followed. Must be able to comprehend and perform complex assignments, within designated suspense periods, various quantitative and qualitative reports, DSS and Labor Mapping Relative Value Unit data compilation, Clinic LEAF Program and other requirements mandated by the Service Chief, Medical Center Director, VISN, VACO, and the AO for Psychiatry Service. Analyze all current and potential care delivery methods and models by use of available technological resources and information sharing methods. Knowledge of space planning, equipment procurement and personnel human resource requirements. Skill in communicating, both orally and in writing, with internal and external parties at high levels. Skill and ability to work under stressful situations with individuals from varied backgrounds while maintaining tact and diplomacy. Collate and manipulate data, conduct analyses and develop reports, presentations, monitors and prepare correspondence utilizing Pyramid Analytics. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is mainly sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there will be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items such as papers, books and moderately sized boxes of supplies.
