Qualification Summary
You may qualify at the GS-07 level if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to review regulations and policies and apply them to limited and routine administrative work assignments; or assist in analyzing and recommending solutions to work process problems or issues; OR B. The applicant must have completed one (1) full academic year of graduate-level education OR be eligible for the superior academic achievement provision when it provided the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the position’s work. Graduate-level education must demonstrate the competencies required to do the work of the position; examples of qualifying courses include program administration, program evaluation and design, resource management, and program implementation (Transcripts must be attached to application or consideration will not be granted.); OR C. A combination of education and experience as listed above. AND Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks must meet the time-in-grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher grade in Federal Service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
