In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting civilian human resources laws to provide advice on staffing and/or classification functions; recommending solutions to coworkers and/or customers to resolve civilian human resources problems/issues; analyzing data from civilian human resources automated systems to create quality human resources products; and reconciling discrepancies with civilian personnel processes to improve internal procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Attention to DetailHR Information Systems ApplicationPersonnel and Human ResourcesStaffing and Recruiting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Separated Military Members: Resumes will be accepted from members of the Armed Forces who indicate in their applications that they are immediately appointable within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. Military members may be appointed while on terminal/transitional leave, before the effective date of their military retirement/separation.
