Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement: This position has a basic entry requirement. Please refer to the links below for the Office of Personnel Management Individual Occupational Requirements for possible ways to meet the basic requirements. https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/2100/aircraft-operation-series-2181/ In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the development and/or updating of aircraft training courses of instruction for helicopters, such as the CH-47F IP/FE aircraft, for classroom and flight simulation environment; experience presenting flight instruction and pilot examination to students as it relates to training on the aircraft systems, training maneuvers, and/or procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes designing, developing, and/or updating aircraft training courses of instruction for helicopters, such as the CH-47F IP/FE aircraft, for classroom and flight simulation environment; experience presenting flight instruction and pilot examination to students as it relates to training on the aircraft systems, training maneuvers, and/or procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
