Applicants must demonstrate in their resume and responses to the vacancy questions that they meet the basic OPM qualifications as well as qualifications described below. Applicants must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the position advertised within 30 days of the closing date of the vacancy.To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the basic education requirements (if any) and specialized experience.To qualify at the GS-09 level: one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service, or equivalent, that includes work involving analyzing and organizing the daily flow of work; utilizing a variety of software programs and applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Power Point, etc.) to create charts, graphs, and tables, and perform a variety of administrative functions such as collecting, compiling, and tracking statistical data, developing reports, etc.; scheduling appointments, arranging travel, reviewing time sheets, and managing accountable property; requisitioning goods and services; coordinating training requirements for individuals; preparing and reviewing written documents for conformance with established guidelines and grammatical correctness.
Qualifying experience must include the application of administrative concepts, practices and procedures; and researching, analyzing and providing recommendations regarding new and improved administrative processes. This experience must include administering and monitoring the full range of administrative and clerical functions for an office.OR a Master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree in a related field such as business administration or public administration or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related to this position.OR a combination of education and experience. Note: Only graduate education in excess of one year is creditable.NOTE: Merit Promotion candidates must meet time-in-grade restrictions (52 weeks at the next lower grade level based on the work of the position).
