You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-13 LEVEL: To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 which is the next lower grade level of the normal line of progression of this position in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Qualifying experience is experience that demonstrated accomplishment of security policy assignments that required a comprehensive knowledge of physical security concepts, policies, standards, and procedures in order to complete physical security projects. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where you review draft national security policies and standards and distribute and implement security policy standards and procedures; oversee and provide expertise regarding comprehensive physical security programs and systems, (includes identification media, intrusion detection and alarm systems, locks, keys, etc.); provide expert technical assistance to lower graded Specialists and to managers and employees to ensure security measures are met and to resolve security issues; prepare written reports of findings from risk assessments, compliance security reviews and site surveys, and review reports from lower graded Specialists; and provide authoritative advice and guidance on budgetary requirements for security equipment and systems. AND MEET TIME IN GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT: For positions above the GS-05, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the grade you are applying for. Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.
