The GS-9 salary range starts at $53,433 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify at the GS-9: You must have a master’s or equivalent graduate degree;or2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;orLL.B. or J.D., if related; and/or at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service.Specialized experience is experience assisting in the management of a commercial office building (or equivalent non-housing high rise building) consisting of building mechanical system (i.e., HVAC, alarm systems, elevators, etc.). This experience typically includes: coordinating alteration and renovation projects;
gathering information to assess the level of customer satisfaction, i.e., surveys, interviews with tenant contacts, focus groups;
gathering data to assist with the development of operating budgets; and,
inspecting contractor performance.
