Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to follow oral or written instruction and be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food and beverages, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Must be physically able to lift or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must demonstrate good customer service and be able to communicate clearly with customers and employees. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler’s training within a specified amount of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Investigation as a condition of employment.
