Qualification Summary
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service “under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709”, and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment Incentive: May be paid to the candidate who is “newly appointed” into this federal government position.The bonus will NTE $7,000. Payment will be a lump sum payment at the beginning of employment. Candidate must agree in writing to remain in this position for a minimum of 12 months, and if they vacate that position for another technician, AGR or active duty service position within the initial 12 month period, the Incentive may be recouped. Current onboard technicians, if selected, are not eligible for this bonus. Military Grades: Enlisted- E5 and below only GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience or training which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms; skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock; ability to use hammers, pliers, and other hand tools; and to follow oral and written instructions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-06 must have 09 months of experience performing inventory and inspections to determine serviceability of stocked items. Experience in interpreting and applying written instructions, reference materials, publications, and manuals. Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc.
