The song, Assah pussah love panna polama, appeared in the Gemini Productions’ Tamil comic horror flick Muni (2007), produced by Saran and directed by Raghava Lawrence. The movie starred Raghava Lawrence, Vedhicka Kumar, Kovai Saroja, Delhi Ganesh, Meera Krishnan etc.

Ganesh (Raghava Lawrence) is a man, who is frightened of ghosts. He falls in love with Priya (Vedhicka Kumar), who rejects his love outright. Ganesh brings a no objection letter from her parents (Delhi Ganesh and Meera Krishnan), so that he does not have any interference from the police and tries to convince her to love him through this song.

Song – Assah pussah love panna polama

The lyrics of the song, Assah pussah love panna polama, were penned by P Vijay-Raghava Lawrence and it was set to tune by Bharadwaj.

The song goes, “Assah pussah, can we go and love each other?”

The cinematography is by K V Guhan. Dance choreography is by Raghava Lawrence.

The video opens with Raghava Lawrence beginning the song, with the question. Vedhicka Kumar is shocked and utters an exclamation. He begins to dance with some other men, on the road. She walks away from him.

Vedhicka Kumar complains to some girls, who join him in the dance. She is miffed and walks away from him, again. He says that her family members support him in the decision of marrying her. She replies that she needs to agree, first.

Raghava Lawrence imagines that he is getting married to her. Back to reality, he still chases her around a bus. They reach her home and he continues to sing. Delhi Ganesh and Meera Krishnan join the song, which ends abruptly there.


Karthik and Priya have sung this song for Raghava Lawrence and Vedhicka Kumar. Delhi Ganesh, Meera Krishnan and other actors and dancers are also seen in the video.

Cultural Influence

There is no influence of any culture on this song. This is a romantic teasing song between the hero and the heroine. The song and the artists are good. The video is watchable for the same.
