What does one get, when a talented musician and vocalist trained in London collaborates on a song with a prolific and highly experienced Music Composer singer, lyricist from Bollywood? That too, when the song carries with it, a very strong underlying message issued in public interest? Well. you get a truly inspiring song and video titled Vaada hai.
A song that strongly emphasises on the importance of getting fully vaccinated with the mandatory double dose of COVID 19 vaccine for protection and immunity of self, family and the entire nation.
What sets this song apart from others of its kind is the composition, zest, energy, video treatment and the fact that it is presented by a premier educational institution, whose name proudly features in the Guinness Book of World Records.
We are talking about City Montessori School, whose founder Jagdish Gandhi is a recipient of innumerable National and International accolades, having recently been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Social Science – Honoris Causa by Queen’s University, Belfast, UK, by the Chancellor and former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
Keeping his strong visionary legacy alive is his grandson Roshan Gandhi, who was born and raised in London, did his masters from the prestigious Oxford University while simultaneously being trained as a musician and western operatic vocalist. He is currently the CEO of City Montessori School and that’s how he met up with Rahul B Seth, who himself is an alumnus of CMS.
It is this very passion for music and creative pursuits that brought Rahul and Roshan together, and they brainstormed upon the concept of a song and video that would strongly convey an imperative health awareness message to the society, without sounding preachy in any way.
This creative collaboration gave birth to Vaada hai… launched on the historic date of October 2, 2021- Gandhi Jayanti, in the video of which, both Roshan and Rahul feature, along with Jagdish Gandhi, Bharti Gandhi (both founders), Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon (President and MD) and senior principals, teachers and students of City Montessori School.
Thus, in short, Vaada hai…, as the song title and the sign-off V.O by Rahul conveys, is a solemn promise to take all preventive measures to keep our families and the entire Nation safe and healthy.
Supporting them vocally is Gul Saxena, a versatile singer from Mumbai having sung various ad jingles, film songs and live concerts.
Roshan and Rahul are looking forward to re-collaborate soon on another musical project to be launched on the international domain.
