You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. To meet the qualifications for this position, you must possess the following:
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.Candidates for the GS-11grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-09)grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes the following: Knowledge of and experience with event planning and scheduling principles, requirements, protocols, and procedures;
Experience communicating with and engaging with a diversity of clients, stakeholders and the general public.
Planning, coordinating, scheduling, organizing, and implementing events (i.e. securing and preparing facilities, space planning, preparing promotional program information for distribution, coordinating resources and support services requirements, preparing evaluations and other related reports etc.); and
Coordinating multiple events with competing deadlines and ensuring requirements are met. -OR-
Education:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
Combination of education and experience:Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
