Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. For the GS-9 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Providing a variety of administrative services in support of functional activities; assisting senior leadership by participating in the planning, directing, and coordinating of the procedural and administrative management work; independently conducting special reviews of administrative matters; establishing priorities, assigning suspense items, and monitoring through completion; responsible to oversee potential problems relating to leave, travel, overtime and timekeeping and services as an office manager in support of a variety administrative functions to include travel, property communication and office software needs (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, record keeping, etc.); reviewing correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other office documents to assure compliance with the organizations correspondence standards; receiving, reviewing, and monitoring the flow correspondence and staff action requests OR master’s or equivalent graduate degree OR two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Equivalent combination of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level. NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the GS-0301 series set forth in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards by the closing date of the announcement.
