The song, Thalai suttuthey Mama, appeared in the Gemini Productions’ Tamil comic horror flick Muni (2007), produced by Saran and directed by Raghava Lawrence. The movie starred Raghava Lawrence, Vedhika Kumar, Kovai Saroja, etc.

Ganesh (Raghava Lawrence) meets up with his friends and unknowingly drinks a spiked cold drink. He performs this song after getting intoxicated with the drink.

The lyrics of the song, Thalai suttuthey Mama, were penned by P Vijay-Raghava Lawrence and it was set to tune by Bharadwaj.

The song goes, “I feel giddy, O Uncle.”

The cinematography is by K V Guhan. Dance choreography is by Raghava Lawrence.

The video opens with Raghava Lawrence twisting his own ear to whistle! He begins to dance like one possessed, in tune with the music that has already begun. Mark my words. You will be reminded of these words that I have uttered in the context of later songs.

Raghava Lawrence begins to sing as he continues to dance, with other male dancers. A female dancer joins him in the dance. Some differently-abled dancers also join him. He motivates them. The song rises to a crescendo and ends abruptly. The video, also, as Raghava Lawrence swoons.


Raghava Lawrence sings this song for himself. Other actors and dancers are also seen in the video.

Cultural Influence

There is no influence of any culture on this song. The song is basically an intoxicated prance by the leading man. The song and the artists are good. The video is watchable for the same.
