Qualification Summary
To qualify for this position, there is no specific length of training or experience required; however, your resume must demonstrate enough experience to show your ability to perform the duties. You must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factor: Ability to do the work of a Utility Systems Repair Operator without more than normal supervision (Screen out). Experience that demonstrates prior work experience performing Utility Systems Repair Operator duties such as: assisting the operation and maintenance of a water & wastewater treatment facility, or a utility system related to water production and treatment. SELECTIVE FACTOR: Must possess (by the closing date of this announcement) a state of California Water Treatment Grade 1 license, and a California Water Distribution Grade 1 license, or equivalent license from another state and can meet the reciprocity conditions (see this link for those conditions: California State Water Resources Control Board – Water Treatment & Distribution System Operators). You MUST include a copy of both T1 or D1 licenses with your application (or equivalents). Failure to do so will result in no further consideration. NOTE: WG-09 level requires possession of a state of California Water Treatment Grade 2, California Water Distribution Grade 2, and a CA Grade 2 Waste water certificate OR have passed the CA Wastewater Treatment Grade 2 test and possess an Operator in Training certification. Reciprocity for any of these licenses are subject to the decision of the State of California Office of Operator Certification.
