Applicants must meet the Basic AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute with 3 or fewer errors. You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent GS-0303-06/07. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes: GS-07: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level or pay band in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties: 1) Generating reports; and 2) Reviewing documents for omissions and inconsistencies; and 3) Receiving telephone calls and relaying to appropriate staff member; and 4) Using office automation software to produce documents. GS-08: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level or pay band in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties: 1) Summarizing data from several sources; and 2) Entering data in and retrieving data from electronic information systems; and 3) Performing basic analysis of data; and 4) Independently completing research to validate data. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. For a GS-08 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
