Qualification Summary
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. GS-09: Applicants must possess (1) one-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-07; or its non-federal equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as: knowledge in loan servicing or loan origination. Experience in project management; systems development; utilizing or testing; data mining to produce system reports through various reporting tools; and/or utilizing the system to support direct or guaranteed loan programs. Experience in analysis of program procedures to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations to improve efficiency and increase customer satisfaction, OR Masters or equivalent graduate degree, OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR an LL.B, or J.D., if relate, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that are qualifying at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
