Only experience and education obtained by 09/08/2021 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification [GS-11]
A. I possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the federal service that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience includes: Conducting outreach or interpretive programs; Maintaining partnerships with agencies, stakeholders, and private and community organizations; Writing and producing a wide variety of interpretive and information products for print, video, web, social media and multimedia; Serving as an agency spokesperson in a variety of settings. NOTE: One (1) year of this experience is clearly documented in my resume.
B. I possess a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or have successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.M., if related. Such education must be directly related to the position to be filled and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work. Note: Copies of transcripts must be submitted.
C. I possess a combination of qualifying specialized experience and qualifying graduate education (both as described above) that, when computed as percentages of their respective requirements, equals at least 100% when combined. Only education beyond the second graduate year (36 semesters) is creditable using this method. Minimum Qualification [GS-12]
I possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the federal service that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience includes: Evaluating public affairs, communications, or outreach programs for effectiveness and implementing appropriate improvements; Working with leadership and managers to anticipate, identify, and address stakeholder concerns; Utilizing knowledge of pertinent laws and policies to make communication recommendations; Developing outreach or interpretive strategies to support public understanding of complex issues and topics. NOTE: One (1) year of this experience is clearly documented in my resume. There is no substitution of education at the GS-12 level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically,
