Military Grades: W-2 to W-5 CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Federal Aviation Administration certificate awarded from an accredited civilian or military aviation program. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: An applicant must have a competent understanding of the occupation’s basic principles and concepts. Applicants should have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade (or a comparable military rank) immediately below the next higher level (GS-12).
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 36 months of Specialized Experience as demonstrated by:
Must have at least 750 hours (rotary wing) of total flight time.
Must be a current qualified UH-60 Black Hawk Pilot.
Must have at least 100 total hours of Pilot-in-Command time regardless of aircraft type and airframe.
