Qualification Summary
BACHELOR’S DEGREE from an accredited college or university in information technology or a related field appropriate to the work of position AND THREE YEARS of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Information Management Plans (IMP). Has developed information flow matrixes (Battle Rhythms) in support of large staffs (200+). Capable of performing business process analysis for systems and procedures in order to formalize, optimize and possibly automate information flow. Experience implementing access controls and electronic records management procedures across multiple data networks. Has previously managed and organized a staff’s information and database needs. Comprehensive knowledge of MCEN, MARFORCYBER, G-6 MCI-National Capital Region and Manpower System Division, Marine & Reserve Affairs (M&RA) information management/information technology and related information systems, policies, procedures and practices is preferred.Knowledge of computers to include: the input and output of data; applications, software, and hardware in a network environment; and telecommunications procedures. Able to train personnel in the operation and application of new, modified, or expanded software applications. Possesses project management skills that demonstrate highly developed conceptual, analytical, and innovative problem solving solutions for a portfolio of projects. Demonstrates the ability to handle complex process and information integration issues.Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with emphasis on ability to write in a clear and concise manner to prepare written materials and reports.Ability to effectively manage change and information technology improvement efforts.
