Qualification Summary
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Basic Requirement: You must meet one of the items listed below (A or B): A. Possess a bachelor’s or higher degree in economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus. (Must provide transcripts) B. Possess a combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (Must provide transcripts) AND Specialized Experience, GS-15:
You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties: Performing economic studies to gather, analyze, and interpret economic information specific to telecommunications or technology; Applying economic theory, methodologies, and statistical procedures to develop economic analyses; Performing value and pricing of telecommunications or technology resources; Producing technical interpretations and application of findings to prepare and present policy recommendations; Providing authoritative guidance for projects or continuing programs with economic issues affecting telecommunications or technology. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. NOTE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
