Qualification Summary
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Basic Requirement: You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail – Thoroughly applying data processing standards and policy when performing work and being conscientious about attending to detail; Customer Service – Working with clients and customers to ensure systems and services are accepted and implemented; Oral Communication – Advising management on new developments and advanced techniques; and Problem Solving – Planning advanced systems projects which require innovative solutions. AND Specialized Experience:
GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties: Working with a variety of server operating systems; Coordinating and evaluating configuration management processes; and Recommending and implementing hardware and software infrastructure to improve network management and administration. NOTE(s): Experience: Your resume must support your claim of experience or you may be found ineligible. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. NOTE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Career Transition Assistance Program: This program applies to Federal service employees whose positions have been deemed surplus or no longer needed, or employees who have been involuntarily separated from a Federal service position within the competitive service. To receive selection priority for this position, you must: 1) meet eligibility criteria for CTAP or ICTAP; 2) will be eligible if it is determined that they have exceeded the minimum qualifications for the position by attaining at least a rating of 85 out of 100; and 3) submit the appropriate documentation to support your CTAP or ICTAP eligibility. Well-Qualified includes those applicants whose knowledge, skills, and abilities clearly exceed the minimum qualification requirements for the position.
