Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Minimum Education Requirements for an Assistant Principal: A Master’s, EDS or Doctorate’s degree in Education Administration or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 20 semester hours of graduate credit in School Administration, Curriculum Development, and Supervision of Instruction (or similar supervision related course work). Applicants must provide copies of official Bachelor’s and Master’s transcripts (include EDS and Doctorate’s if applicable).In addition to the requirements listed above, you must also meet the requirements listed below. General Experience Requirements for an Assistant Principal:
A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching, specialist, or other professional educator experience at the Pre-K – 12 level is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
