As a basic requirement, applicants must demonstrate progressively responsible experience directly related to the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined under Mandatory Technical Qualifications.Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the Federal service, or its equivalent, with state or local government, the private sector, or nongovernmental organizations. You must demonstrate in your application, significant achievements, increasing levels of responsibility, and a solid record of successful professional performance.Failure to meet basic qualification requirements and all mandatory technical qualifications may result in disqualification.

MANDATORY TECHNICAL COMPETENCY QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must submit a written narrative response to the following Technical Competency. You must address each Technical Competency separately. Limit your written statements to one (1) page per technical competency. Please give examples and explain the complexity of the knowledge possessed and the sensitivity of the issued you handled. Knowledge of IRS and other federal agency organizational structure, operations, programs, and policies, including broad knowledge of Federal tax administration.
Ability to analyze all aspects of major programs in an organizational setting and develop sound recommendations for program improvements. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
